 Topics covered will include:  soils, fruit varieties, rootstocks, planting, pests and pest management including pesticides and pesticide safety, diseases and disease prevention, proper pruning technique, fertilizing, and restoring old trees. There will be a $150.00 fee for the class which includes four books, twelve hours of class instruction, and a four hour pruning demonstration in the spring.  All courses will be held at the orchard in Charleston.
