Senior Farm Share
We are currently involved in the Senior Farm Share Program. Eligable Seniors receive $50 in Farm Fresh Produce of their choice, over at least 8 weeks of the Maine growing season. Produce from our farm includes, but is not limited to Apples, Blueberries, Raspberries, Squash, Tomatos, Garlic, Beans, Pumpkin, and Watermellon. If you are a Senior who is a Maine resident and over 60 years old you may be eligable for the Maine Senior Farm Share Program.
Pruning Class
In conjunction with the Master Gardener Program and the Somerset Cooperative Extension Mark is teaching an Orchard Pruning Class. Mark is a Master Gardener and the cheif tree pruner in our orchard. The day will be spent discussing Orchard Planting and Management Techniques and will include grafting and pruning demonstrations.
Open Farm Day
Maine Open Farm Day is a time when Maine Farmers open up their farming and orcharding operations to the public. Come tour our orchard and learn about the many varieties of apples that are available locally in our orchard. Visit our sheep, geese, and chickens and find out where eggs really come from! The Farm Store will be open. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
